Starting from the discrete Sturm-Liouville problem we study the discrete Gelfand-Levitan equations, i.e. the discrete version of G-L linear and nonlinear integral equations, as well as the discrete inverse scattering problems. Our study of various discrete problems provides an easy way to solving the G-L problems numerically.
